In my prior blog we talked about how vision is the most powerful weapon at your disposal!  Your vision is not the things want or your ability to distort reality per se’…..but the most powerful impact of having a vision is how you see yourself in the vision.  The person you envision yourself to be needs to be bold & confident, but that powerful person also needs to accept and own your scars, faults and failures.  Admitting and taking ownership of your mistakes and shortcomings prevent others from using them as weapons to tear you down.  This acceptance empowers your self-confidence and competence because there’s no pressure to be perfect.  Self-acceptance is the key to own your STAR POWER!

Think about this: recent studies show we have about 8400 thoughts a day. 80% of them are negative!!  How in the world can we keep a positive mental image of who we are?  How can you hold the vision of achieving ridiculous goals and dreams when you have thoughts of inadequacy, fear and shame?
Well, 30yrs ago the computer and device technology we have today was just a dream.  Computer programers in the 80s used a term called G.I.G.O. which stood for GARBAGE IN=GARBAGE OUT.  This simply meant if you wanted a computer to run at its optimum level you had to put good information in.  If you put bad programming in you can’t expect a computer to do what it was designed to do.  So, G.I. G. O. is something I want you to remember because it also stands for GOOD IN=GOOD OUT.

We consume so much garbage each day, not just from our diet! Watching TV gives a daily dose of murders, shootings, rapes, robberies and crime.  How can you manifest a big vision when we’re surrounded by messages that feed fear and limitations?  How does this information bring you into the knowledge of your power and the abundance available to you?   To combat the toxic images and noise you need a daily session of good programing to step into and own your Star Power!

You have 24 hours, 1440 seconds and 86,400 senconds in a day, but how many do you dedicate to focus on your vision and build power to reach for it?  If you’re like me, you get up in the morning thinking about all the things you need to do and start running like your hair is on fire (….ok, scalp in my case).  However, be sure to carve out minutes in the day to invest in your success and develop the stamina to endure the journey.

The Hour of Power provides four ways to get razor focused Claim Your Star Power: 15 minutes of prayer, 15 minutes of meditation, 15 minutes of reading and 15 minutes of exercise.

MEDITATION-15min

Meditation provides mental clarity and allows you to focus energy.  During your 15min of meditation focus on the vision of the person you want to become. Think about how that person would execute the tasks that you have on your agenda today.  Before you leave home calm your mind, because an uncluttered mind is extremely powerful.  Still your spirit to hear wispers of infininte wisdom guiding you to exactly what you need.   There are many resources available to explain how to meditate which we won’t discuss here, but this investment of time will yield dividends throughout your day.

PRAYER-15min

You don’t have to be T.D Jakes lifting the weight of the world on your back when you pray, but take 2-5—10—or ANY minutes to pray.  Even if you feel uncomfortable praying or don’t know what to say, you can always start by counting your blessings and giving thanks.  Gratitude is one of the most powerful emotions you can experience, and reminds us
“Everything is possible for he who believes.” –Mark 9:23

Through prayer you connect to the infinite power and wisdom that created the universe and created you with purpose. This your time to connect to infinite knowledge, wisdom and power that exist inside of you right now! That’s where your STAR POWER comes from. It’s that inner ability that you have to create whatever you want in life using what you already have.

READING-15min

Remember GI=GO?  This is your opportunity to put positive and productive information in your mind that will replace the negative thoughts as they arise daily. Read positive quotes, Bible versus, books and magazine articles with information on how to accomplish your goals and ruminate on them throughout the day.  To become the person you envision you’ll need to learn information and master skills you don’t have today.  You’ll never know “everything” but absorb as much knowledge and wisom as possible.  Seek knowledge, become a collector of wealth……. intellectual wealth. The more you know, the more you grow, the more you learn the more you earn!

EXERCISE-15min

The more fit your body is the better prepared you are to share your Star Power with those who need it.  Exercise helps you manage stress more efficiently and provides stamina and mental focus to keep pushing yourself to grow.  Get your ab roller out, take a walk around the block, do some push ups or situps. You don’t have to join a gym and exercising doesn’t have to cost you anything. It’s a must that keep your physical frame healthy because its the only one you got and you ain’t getting any younger!

The Hour Of Power doesn’t have to be done all in one hour.  It’s cool if you can, but in reality many can’t.  So break it up during the day.  If you need to take five minutes in the morning just for meditation another five minutes for prayers, that’s cool.

The Hour Of Power helps systematically nurish your mind, body and spirit to fortify your personal power and sustain a high level of performance.  It does not matter if you’re an athlete, physician, teacher, or sales pro, the Hour Of Power will embolden your Star Power and help you stand out in the crowd.  Your Star Power will attract anything you want in life.
